Y2K vs Coquette

Shiny pink and a baby tee, or lace and a ribbon. How to tell Y2K from Coquette when both photos are pink.

Pink is not the difference

Both styles get searched with the word pink. Y2K pink is Hot pink, often shiny, next to Mint or Lilac. Coquette pink is Petal, Ballet, and Rose, next to lace.

If you remove the color and the style disappears, you were looking at a trend. If the cloth and the objects still match, you have a lead.

The Y2K picture

A baby tee, a glossy lip, a low-rise line, and a cool bright. Ice keeps it from going muddy. Logos and celebrity faces are not required, and this site does not use them.

The outfit can be one loud color. The rest stays Ice.

The Coquette picture

A ribbon, a lace edge, and a softer pink. The shoe can be a flat with one bow. The mood is romantic rather than graphic.

Save both kinds of photos if you mean to. The quiz is how you find which one you pick when they are in the same question.

Questions

Can one outfit be both?

A pink top can. The rest of the picture decides. Gloss and a low rise lean Y2K. Lace and a bow lean Coquette.

Which one does the quiz pick?

The one your pictures support. If the scores are close, you get both a lead and a secondary style.
